As children of separated parents, we've often had to wait for our parents for hours on end on the pavement, because of their communication problems.
Unfortunately, we're not the only ones in this situation. In France, 4,000,000 minors have divorced/separated parents, 480,000 of whom have alternating custody. That's almost one child in three.
Parents are used to using multiple applications to manage their children's childcare: email, calendars, clouds, reminders, etc. Information gets lost, and organisation is poor. There are a few co-parenting applications (Shar(d), 2houses, MyFamilyWizard, WeParent) but they are not widely known or used, and most of them come from the American market and are prescribed by family court judges, which is forbidden in France.
